How to get started on your idea, just start!

I started this website as I wanted a place to buy clothes and accessories with slogans on that I liked and would actually wear. Secondly it was a place to share some of the amazing talents that I see within friends and family. I think the problem was that I had too many ideas and didn’t know where to start.

The first stumbling block was a name; as Shakespeare said "what's in a name". I needed something that could grow with the business and become a platform, a place for creativity to be showcased. I went through the typical ideas. Using my name as I wanted this to represent me; but with an unusual name do I really want to share it all? Maybe something witty or something sensible, it didn’t really feel like me. One day it hit me, out of the blue and without actively thinking about it, I have always had a favourite word; if you can have such a thing. It was unique enough to not have been used a million times already, yet simple enough to be understood. I consult a close friend who understands me and is just as excited as I am to get started. (We all need friends like this) Then it was decided.

Plethora was born. Now the real work begins. It’s hard to explain exactly what my aim is other than I want to create fabulous clothes and accessories that I hope you will enjoy as much as I do. I can visualise creating something great that will not only help others to shine, but also bring me some fulfilment in my day to day life. In the grand scheme of things, isn’t that what we all want?
